Charles V. Ransom

Charles "Charlie" V. Ransom, 72 of Beloit, WI, passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 in his home.
He was born March 26, 1953 in Geneva, WI, the son of Vernon and Gloria (Sannes) Ransom. Charlie was a graduate of the Darien/Delavan High School. Charlie married Tina Wincapaw on September 3, 2011 on the farm in Walworth County WI.
He was employed by Fairbanks Morse for over 48 years, retiring in March of 2020. He was a member of the Fairbanks Morse Quarter Century club. Charlie used his creativity and craftsmanship making metal art known as "Charlie's Choppers & Chickens" with the proceeds he made he donated to many local charities. He was an avid motorcyclist, a member of the CC Riders Motorcycle club since 1976. Charlie was fond of antique motorcycles as well as attending Sturgis over 30 times. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, camping and attending Grateful dead concerts at Alpine Valley.
Survivors include his wife and best friend for over 33 years, Tina; daughter, Amanda Dacio; step sons, Eric Wincapaw and Izack Wincapaw; grandchildren, Davin Dacio, Madison Wincapaw, Amelliah Bishop, Jayden Wincapaw, and Oakley Wincapaw; brothers and sisters, Dan (Jan) Ransom, Vickie (Lou) Marino, Tim (Kay) Ransom, Sue (Russ) Kitzman, and John Ransom; several nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers in law, sister in-laws, other relatives and friends including the CC Rider Family; and his beloved dog Wilson.
He is predeceased by his parents; nephew, Jason Ransom, and many canine companions he loved dearly.
A memorial service for Charlie will be held 11:00 a.m. on Monday November 24, 2025 in Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Rd., Beloit, WI. A visitation of remembrance will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service in the funeral home.
