George Panno

Mineral Ridge-George Panno, 62, passed away peacefully surrounded by his wife, children and family on Sunday May 25, 2025.
He was born Dec. 31, 1962, to George and Zoe Kramer Panno. He was a beloved son, husband, father, brother, uncle and grandfather. George graduated from Wilson High School in 1981
George worked for the Youngstown Board of Education for many years. He recently retired from the Davis Family YMCA after years of service there serving the YMCA community and spreading his hard work and dedication to all.
George was an avid bocce player and a lifetime member of the Arco Club, Cassese's MVR, Pacentrano Club, St Anthony's Society and participated in various tournaments across the US and Canada. He found joy playing the sport his family all learned together and loved from his father's teachings. He enjoyed gardening, cooking and spending time with his pets "his favorite children" Jinx and Angel.
He leaves behind his wife of 39 years, Pauline Panno; three children, Amanda (Evan) Belt, George Panno III and Michalena Demarco; one grandchild, Sophia; his siblings Rosemari Panno, Mary "Dada" Panno, Phillip Panno, Zoeann Panno and Bill (Griz) Adamo, Michael Demarco and Ray Ludt; and many nieces and nephews.
George was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jarret; and numerous loved ones, aunts, uncles and in-laws.
Family and friends may pay their respects from 10 a.m. to noon on Friday, May 30, 2025 at Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home 4442 South Ave., Boardman, followed by a noon funeral service.
The family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to Hospice of the Valley for the kind and compassionate care shown to George in his final days.
