George G. Perrotte, Jr., 73 of Winooski, Vermont, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at the McClure Miller Respite House following a courageous two-year battle with lung cancer.

He was born May 25, 1952, in Burlington, Vermont. He was the son of George and Theresa (Mungeon) Perrotte.

He was a graduate of Burlington High School class of 1972. He married the love of his life, Betty J. Poquette in 1974 in St. Stephen's Church in Winooski and was happily married for 51 years; he frequently and lovingly referred to her as his bride.

He was a carpenter by trade and took pride in his work. He found enjoyment in using his skills to help others whenever he was asked. He worked hard for what he had and took pride in maintaining his property and belongings. He enjoyed playing computer games, watching television and movies, listening to music, singing, looking at pictures and videos he had taken of his family and friends, and retelling funny stories. He was a comedian at heart making us all laugh with a funny comment, a funny face or doing something silly in most conversations. Making others laugh and laughing with them brought him great joy. George always greeted you with a smile and left you with a hug or handshake and always laughter. George loved all his family and friends so much and enjoyed spending time with them. He is unforgettable to all and will be greatly missed.

George is survived by his loving spouse Betty, his devoted children Steven Perrotte (Jessica) and Heidi Dinco (Steve), his beloved grandchildren William Perrotte, Michael Dinco, Elizabeth Perrotte and Sarah Dinco, his brothers and sisters: Linda Muir, Wanda Davis (Kenneth Jr.), Gary Perrotte (Pam), Pete Perrotte, Timothy Perrotte (Sheila), Todd Perrotte, David Perrotte, Kris Barton (Dave), and Francine Perrotte; along with many nieces and nephews and their children that he loved so much. He is also leaving behind many friends he considered family.

He is predeceased by his father George G. Perrotte Sr., his mother Theresa M. Mongeon, and siblings Carol Cote and Paul Perrotte.

Visiting hours will be on Tuesday, August 19, from 5pm-7pm at LaVigne Funeral Home, 132 Main St., Winooski. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 20, at 11:30am at St Francis Xavier Church in Winooski followed by a Celebration of Life at Our Lady of Grace Church, 784 Main Street, Colchester at 1:00pm.
