Palm Bay, FL- Joan Ann (Harris) Perrotte, 84, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2025, in Palm Bay, Florida. She was born on November 15, 1940, in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, and grew up in Nassau, New York.

Joan graduated from Columbia High School, Class of 1959. On October 1, 1960, she married Richard C. Perrotte and raised her family on Brookview Road in Castleton, New York. After retiring they moved Bradenton, Florida, returning to New York during the summers to visit family and friends. In Bradenton, she loved to shuffle board, but Joan's favorite hobby was crocheting. Many family and friends, two legged and four legged, were recipients of her blankets.

She was predeceased by her mother, Inez M. McDonald; stepfather, William E. McDonald; father, Charles T. Harris; and sister, Betsy Burton.

Joan is survived by her husband of nearly 65 years, Richard; her brother, Charles (Carol) Harris; her sister, Inez (Ray) Lotters; and her brother-in-law, Steven (Phyllis) Burton. She is also survived by her five children, William (Valerie) Perrotte, Debra (Michael) Buckbee, John Joseph "Jay" (Maureen) Perrotte, Sarah (Timothy) Antonacci, and Suzanne (Timothy) Manton.

She was a loving grandmother to Timothy P., Timothy A. (Casey), Stephanie (Brian), Ericka (Steven), Ashley (Ethan), Ryan, Renee, Caitlin, Kylie, and Matthew. She also enjoyed being a great-grandmother to Gabriel, Joanna, Joshua, Liam, Evelyn, Jacob, and Charlotte.

Family meant everything to Joan, and she will also be fondly remembered by many extended relatives and dear friends whose lives she touched with kindness, warmth, and love.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Joan's family from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Friday, October 3, 2025 at the Thomas P. Mooney Funeral Home, 11 Elm St. Nassau, NY 12123. Eulogies will be offered at 12:00 p.m. Inurnment will immediately follow the eulogies at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 3rd Ave Ext. Rensselaer, NY 12144.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joan's memory to Mederi Hospice, 8060 Spyglass Hill Rd., Viera, FL 32940, Palm Bay Community Benevolent,1465 Georgia St. NE, Suite B, Palm Bay, FL 32907, or the ASPCA - PO Box 96929, Washington, DC 20090.
