George Porto Obituary

He is survived by his sister, Gail Harkins of London, along with a host of extended family members and friends who will deeply mourn his passing. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his nephew, Brad Harkins, with whom he shared a special and cherished bond.
George was a faithful attendee of Old Salem Baptist Church. He had a lifelong love of music-especially the oldies from the 60s and 70s-and a deep affection for his dogs and cats, who brought him much joy through the years.
George William Porto departed this life on Thursday, November 27, 2025, at the age of 73 years, 9 months, and 14 days.
The funeral service for George William Porto will be conducted at 12 noon Monday in the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel with Craig Morgan officiating. Burial will follow in Old Salem Cemetery in London.
The family will receive friends beginning at 10 am Monday until the funeral hour of 12 noon at Bowling Funeral Home.
