George W. Pratt

George W. Pratt, age 85 of Addison passed away at home surrounded by his family on Saturday, September 27, 2025. Born April 14, 1940 in Elkland, he was the son of the late Russell and Rowena (VanZile) Pratt. He married Sandra Spencer and they shared 64 years together. George retired from Corning Inc. and he was an avid outdoorsman; enjoying hunting, fishing, cutting firewood, playing baseball and softball. He loved to pick on the grandchildren. He is survived by his loving wife, Sandra; children, Kim (Doug) Smith, George "Rusty" (Lori) Pratt and Tony (Shannon) Dailey, who was like a son; grandchildren, Tiffany Mattison, Zachary (Mandy) Smith, Courtney (Craig) Deats – Cascio, George "Jacob" (Krystina) Pratt, Elliot (Jessica Barron) Baker, Josh Baker and Shay, Johnny and Kyra Dailey; great grandchildren, Cory and Elora Mattison, Sydney, Cecilia and Carmine Deats – Cascio, Sawyer and Emeron Pratt, Rylie and Leah Baker, Adriannah Grabenhoffer, Kelsey and Brianna Wilson and Caden Coughlin; great great grandson, Oliver Cortwright; his sister, Lorraine Cole and many nieces, nephews and cousins. George was preceded in death by his siblings, Leona (Ethan) Harris, Verna (William) VanDusen, Ruth Southard, Richard (Doris) Pratt, Leonard Pratt, Linda Pratt, John (Roseanna) Pratt and Jack (Francie) Pratt. Family will receive friends at Kenyon Funeral Home, 214 W. Main St., Elkland on Saturday, October 4th from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM. A funeral service will be held immediately following at 12:00 PM. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.
