I was blessed to be George and Lena's neighbor for over 35 years. What a great and loving man I found George to be. The history of Phoenix and stories he would tell, would keep you listening and laughing , It wasn't boring living next to George all these years, and Lena with his large family was a never ending journey for George. We often joked he was busier after he retired than he was when working. His door was open day or night 7 days a week and family friends and neighbors were constantly visiting and sharing countless hours of joy and laughter with George. Birthday parties were big events but their biggest party of the year was their Christmas parties and the days prior making homemade tamales. He was so happy with the Loving life Lena had given him and the joy his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren shared with him but his heart was also sharing all his friends he made over all those years, if you were lucky enough to be George's friend he was your friend forever. George will be greatly missed by so many, but that's what happens when you are a Great Man, and gave so much of yourself to so many over all these past years. St. Peter, grab a chair and drink your going to be there quite a while and laughing at so many stories... P.S.....you now can answer that question you had all these years " do they have beer in Heaven ??? " ....
