George Edward Reeser, a beloved member of the Louisville community, passed away peacefully on November 11 2024, at the age of 88. Born on April 4, 1936, in Louisville, Kentucky, he was the son of the late George and Edna (Royer) Reeser.
George was a proud Air Force Veteran, having served his country while stationed in Japan. Upon returning to civilian life, he pursued a fulfilling career and nurtured a variety of interests over the years. He was known for his pleasantly grumpy demeanor, a trait that endeared him to many who knew him.
George's educational journey began at Saint John Catholic School, culminating in his graduation from Saint X High School. His life was characterized by a passion for sports and outdoor activities. An avid bowler, he relished every opportunity to roll a game with friends. He was a valued member of the Fulton AC and the Moose Lodge, where he enjoyed sharing stories and laughter with fellow members. Hunting was another pastime that brought him joy, further connecting him to the great outdoors he loved.
Family was central to George’s life. He is survived by his children, Cynde (Kevin) Dorn, Kathy (Todd) Allgeier, Rick (Linda) Reeser, and Tony (Molly) Reeser; thirteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Speed; and many cherished nieces and nephews. George was predeceased by his devoted wife of 65 years, Patricia Ann Reeser, and a sister, Patricia Schaefer.
