George Wallace “Wally” Ritchie, age 81, of Worcester, MA passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at the Lutheran Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center in Worcester. He was the son of the late George and Maria (Dickson) Ritchie.

Wally was raised in Malden, MA, by his loving family and overcame many physical challenges, he was a caring soul who enjoyed the company of others. His parents were devoted to his well-being and spent all of their energy stimulating Wally with daily activities and exercises. Wally especially enjoyed his time spent at Pine Banks Park and Lynn Beach. In his later years, Wally lived in several group homes where he always made friends and attended daily workshops.

He is survived by his brother, David M. Ritchie and his wife Anne of Hampton, NH, his nieces, Heather Saluto and her husband Joseph of Raymond, NH, and Lisa Ritchie of Hampton, NH, and nephew, Christopher Ritchie and his wife Elizabeth of Stratham, NH, and grandnephews Thomas, Maxwell, and Tyler and grandniece Emma.

A private graveside service will be held at the family burial plot at Groton Cemetery, Groton, MA.

Donations in his memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
