George Rivello Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bradbury Memorial Center - Lake Havasu City on Jan. 25, 2024.
George Anthony Rivello (Dad) was born on February 22, 1934, in Los Angeles California, to Joseph and Carmella Rivello. Dad was the third of six children born to the family. He grew up in Los Angeles and attended Washington High School where he met his future wife, Jeanne Marie Kelly. The two were married July 25, 1953. Dad always said "I didn't marry the love of my life. I married my high school sweetheart who became the love of my life." They were married 70 years and 6 months.
Dad and Mom had seven children: Susan, Karen (Terry), Joseph (Kisha), Diane (Walt), George Jr (Karen), Mary (Brian), and Anthony (Tonya). In addition, they have 19 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Dad started his career as plumber's apprentice and eventually became a Commercial Plumbing Project Manager for Pierce Engineering in Los Angeles until he retired in 1979. Dad and Mom then moved to Lake Havasu City, Arizona shortly thereafter.
Dad built his home in Lake Havasu from the ground up and he and Mom lived there for over 40 years until moving to assisted living in 2023.
Dad was extremely talented in all areas of construction and building and he could paint cars to perfection. In his later years he placed his talents in the art of Intarsia woodworking, which were impeccable.
Dad and Mom attended Lakeview Community Church where Dad placed his faith in Jesus Christ and was adamant in his faith.
Dad went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on January 10, 2024. He is preceded in death by his parents and all his siblings. Dad leaves behind his loving wife of 70 years, all his children and their spouses, all his grandchildren and their spouses, and his 14 great grandchildren.
Dad was the patriarch of our large family who loved him dearly and he will be greatly missed.
