It is with great sadness that we announce that George Rose, 79 of Kansas City Kansas passed away on January 20th, 2026, in Kansas City Kansas. He was born on January 21, 1946, in Lewisville, Arkansas to Willie and Addean Rose. While growing up in Arkansas George loved to spend time with family, singing in the choir and playing football in high school. George was known for being a loving Husband, Father, PaPa, Brother, Uncle, Cousin and friend. He will truly be missed by all.

George graduated from high school in Lewisville, Arkansas and went on to serve in the USA Army for 3 years in Germany before attending Arkansas A&M College where he received his bachelor's degree in agriculture. Once he graduated from college in 1972; he decided to venture to Kansas City along with his brother Eddie James, to join their sister Diane Rose. He met Patricia Spearman soon after settling in Kansas City and together they had a daughter Carla Rose. He worked various jobs before settling at General Motors where he was a Team Leader in various areas of the Plant. He retired at General Motors in January 2007 after 33.4 years of service.

George Rose was a faithful server of the lord and attended Forest Grove Baptist church up until this passing. He believed in helping others and had a kind heart. He loved the outdoors, whether he was playing in his garden, building something in his shed or on his lawnmower mowing grass. He also loved to shop and especially liked collecting cowboy boots. One of the biggest joys of his life was his granddaughter, Marisa. All that knew him knew Marisa just by how he talked about her and was so proud of her.
