I worked with George between 1989 and 2001, and I took about sixty (60) business trips for him during that time. We did not always see eye to eye, but I am horrified and saddened to learn he has passed. Farewell, George, I wish I could have seen you one last time.

George was a client who turned into a great friend. He was bright, articulate and a pleasure to work with. He will be missed.

I fondly remember sharing a pitcher or two (or many more) of beer with George at Johnie's Big Red Restaurant in Ithaca, N.Y. in the 1970's. May his memory be a blessing for family and friends.

Barbara and I were so saddened to learn of George's passing. Although I haven't seen George in almost a decade, we exchanged emails periodically over the years, mostly about our trials and tribulations with GOLF. On occasion, we also discussed how best to deal with global warming from a chemistry and chemical engineering standpoint. One memory that I have of George goes back several decades--playing a round of golf with him and some other friends in Allentown. I can't remember how good the golf was. What I do remember was that I (and I think George and the other guys too) thought that golf was what we should be doing to have "fun" in those days. What were we thinking? Well, I know that golf did become an important part of George's life in retirement. Having recently retired myself, I can now understand the virtues of golf. What I will always remember of George was that he was an extremely intelligent man, a loving husband, a loving father, and a good friend. Thank goodness for wonderful memories.
