He is preceded in death by his partner in life for over 20 years, Connie Schoreck; children, Michael Sims, Sandra Sims, Beverly Sims Davis, Kenneth Sims; parents, Leslie and Beatrice Sims; and brother, Larry Sims.
Survivors include his grandchildren, Melinda Wade, Melissa Wade, Brandon Wade, George Sims, Charlie Sims; numerous great grandchildren; siblings, Dorothy Morgan (Terry), Donald Sims (Barbara), Douglas Sims (Arnetta), Debbie Calhoun (Richard); and numerous nieces and nephews.
