Our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend passed away peacefully at the age of 88 with her family at her side on December 08, 2025.
Eula Voncille (Boutwell) Patrick was born on October 22, 1937, in Shreveport to Ophelia (Ford) Patrick and Robert Sellers Patrick. Voncille was a devoted wife, a nurturing mother, and a cherished grandmother. She was reared in Kilbourne, where she became a member of Hill Baptist Church and accepted Jesus Christ at a young age.
The youngest of fourteen (14) children, Voncille grew up working alongside her family-picking cotton, tending gardens, and learning the values of hard work, thankfulness, and faith. She carried those values throughout her life, becoming a shining example of kindness, generosity, forgiveness, and steadfast love to everyone blessed to know her.
Most people knew her simply as Voncille. She spent the majority of her life in Oak Grove, where she lovingly raised her five children with her spouse, Arthur Boutwell (deceased). A devoted homemaker, mother, and wife, she poured her heart into caring for her family and others. She nurtured an abundant vegetable garden each year and spent countless hours canning fruits and vegetables to share. Her love of flowers filled her home with beauty, and her skill as an expert seamstress produced cherished clothes and costumes for her children.
Voncille was also an avid reader, finding joy in many types of books-but most especially in the Holy Bible, which she faithfully read through in recent years. Her quiet strength, gentle spirit, and unwavering faith left an enduring legacy that will continue through her family for generations. Voncille's life was a testament to faith, family, and the quiet power of a loving heart. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
She is survived by her children: Wanda Gail (Stewart) Boutwell, Angela Faye (Boutwell) Hochreiter and spouse Fred, Kim Ophelia (Boutwell) Bowlin and spouse Mike, Ava Celeste (Boutwell) Neal and spouse Stacy (deceased), Arthur Boutwell III and spouse Tracie. Grandchildren: Kevin Stewart, Spencer Stewart, Ronnie Stewart, Karla Stewart, John Hammett, Jeb Hammett, Megan (Jordan) Gately, Christopher Jordan III, Casey (LaRue) Gilday, Jeremy LaRue, Celeste (Gentry) Highsmith, Macie (Boutwell) Soileau, Bethany (Boutwell) Hacker, and Bo Boutwell; 38 greatgrandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren and her sister, Barbara Dell (Patrick) Dearing. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ophelia and Robert Patrick; her brothers Luke Patrick, John Patrick, Leon Patrick, Robert Sellers Patrick Jr., and Tom Patrick; and her sisters Rose Patrick, Ethel (Patrick) McGuffie, Ava Patrick, Alma (Patrick) Willis, Louise (Patrick) Hill, Nellie (Patrick) Calhoun, and Billie June (Patrick) Lowe.
Pallbearers are Bo Boutwell, J.R. Hammett, Jeb Hammett, Christopher Jordan, Kevin Stewart, Spencer Stewart, Ronnie Stewart, and Jeremy LaRue.
Honorary Pallbearers are Nathan Hammett, Jaxon Hammett, Jett Hammett and Andrew Hammett.
Visitation will be 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at Hill Baptist Church, in
