George Smith Obituary

George D. Smith, 68, of Bethel Park, passed on Tuesday, March 17, 2026. He was born on July 6, 1957, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late George E. and Evelyn Joy Scott Smith. George was a graduate of Canon McMillan class of 1975. He then worked for CONSOL Energy as a supply chain general manager, retiring in 2015. He was a member of Club Leaf and Bean in Washington. On August 12, 1995, he married Donna Taggart, who survives. Also surviving are three children: Jennifer (Dave) Davis, Joshua Clemens and Joseph Clemens; a brother, Jeffrey (Jennifer Hans) Smith; five grandchildren: Jasmine and Devin Davis, Keirsten Clemens-Lutz, and Samuel and Bodhi Clemens; two nieces, Baylee and Abygale; and two nephews, Austin and Jacey. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, March 22, at Graff-Nation Funeral and Cremation Service, 220 E. Lincoln Ave., McDonald, PA. 15057, where services will take place at 11 a.m. Monday, March 23. Interment will follow in Robinson Run Cemetery.
