George Augustus Spanos, 77, beloved husband and father went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 2, 2021.
George was born in Sewickley, PA and was the son of the late Augustus and Stella Spanos. He is survived by his wife Fifi Spanos; son Louis Spanos; sisters Cathy Deering, Olga Ellsworth; two brothers Greg Spanos, Augustus Spanos; daughter-in-laws Timme Spanos and Christy Davis; grandchildren, Zachary, Caleb and Gabby; as well as many nieces and nephews.
George was predeceased by his son, Gus Spanos.
George touched the lives of many by his charismatic personality and his love for his family and friends. George enjoyed meals with loved ones, gardening and watching his son coach football. He was loved by so many as a husband, father, Pappou, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. George's pride and joy in his life were his 3 grandchildren and spending time with them. The wisdom he shared and the legacy he left will continue to be passed on for generations to come.

I did collectible shows with George for years. He always had a story and a hearty laugh. He was a good man and I was glad to be friends with him.

Sorry to hear of George's passing. He was an outgoing and pleasant friend that I would run into annually at the Pittsburgh baseball card show. Always a gentleman. Rest in Peace George. Gary Fink, Ohio
