George Walter "Bud" Suplee Jr.

George Walter Suplee, Jr. "Bud", 89, of Bradenton FL, formerly of Downingtown, PA died at home on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, after a short illness. Everyone knew him as Bud. Born August 5, 1934, in Downingtown, PA, he was the son of the late George Walter Suplee Sr and Harriet LaFave Suplee.
He attended Downingtown High School and Penn State where he played High School and College football. Bud enlisted in the Army and was a paratrooper for 2 years.
Bud worked at Foote Mineral Company where he was a textile salesman until he retired in 1994 to move to Bradenton with his wife. He enjoyed golfing and was an avid fisherman, but his greatest joy came from spending time with his family and many friends.
He was the husband of Mary Lou Suplee with whom he celebrated 49 years of marriage before her passing in 2004, his sister, Grace "Betty" Miller, and 2 children, Bruce Allen Suplee and Sandra Joy Suplee. He is survived by his children, Suzanne Suplee Russler, David Walter Suplee, and Barbara Suplee Jackson. In addition to his children, he is survived by 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren
A Memorial Service will be held 11 AM January 15, 2024, at Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory 43rd Street Chapel, 604 43rd Street West, Bradenton, FL 34209.
