George Temchulla

1933 - 2026

George Temchulla, 92, of Rossiter, passed away on March 10 at the Punxsutawney Area Hospital.
He was born on April 6, 1933, a son of the late Frank Temchulla and Stella (Yanaski) Temchulla.
On Sept. 4, 1954, he married his sweetheart, Sarah Montgomery Temchulla. They enjoyed 70 years of marriage together before she preceded him in death on Feb. 28, 2025.
Mr. Temchulla was a veteran of the Korean War.
He worked in Buffalo, New York, for the Ford Motor Company and later the Koppers Company.
He then worked for Interstate Amesite in the maintenance shop for over 31 years. After retirement, George worked for Banks Township, plowing snow, patching roads and doing whatever needed to be done.
George loved hunting, taking walks with his dogs and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He had five brothers and four sisters.
Mr. Temchulla was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and granddaughter-in-law Maria Temchulla.
He is survived by sons Terry (Jackie) Temchulla of Punxsutawney, and Barry Temchulla of Rossiter; daughter Darlene Temchulla of Rossiter; grandchildren Joshua Temchulla of Punxsutawney, Garrett Temchulla of McCandless Township, and Tessa (Brian) Davis of Punxsutawney; and great-grandchildren Landon and Paxton Temchulla.
Arrangements are private, and are entrusted to the Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.
