George Twardy Obituary
George Sylvester Twardy, the son of Andrew and Wanda (Gardas) Twardy, was born on May 25, 1936 in Maple Plain, MN. He received his education in Delano, MN and was united in marriage to Marlys Bechtold on July 16, 1955 at St. Joe's in Delano, MN. He farmed for many year and was the caretaker for the Darwin Rod and Gun Club for 26 years. He enjoyed playing cards, watching westerns, growing and canning tomatoes, feeding birds, polka music and his dogs, beer and guns.
He is survived by his children Ricky (Jackie) Twardy of Cokato, MN, Russel (Nadine) Twardy of Litchfield, MN, Randal (Cindi) Twardy of Eden Valley, MN, Rhonda (Scott) Abell of Blaine, MN, Renee (Steve Norby) Twardy of Litchfield, MN and Ronald (Stacy) Twardy of Hutchinson, MN; grandchildren Ryann Twardy, Mark (Jess) Twardy, Amber (Mike) Evenson Green, Andy (Amy Onell) Twardy, Dan (Heather) Twardy, Casey Twardy, Taylor Twardy, Daris Norby, Tamara (David) Ahl, Jordan Twardy, Nathan Twardy, Erin (Brad) Halonen and Cole (Jess) Johnson; great grandchildren Brinn Halonen, Breck Halonen, Bauer Halonen, Stella Johnson, Mila Johnson, Olivia Hohmam, Paige Paumen, Ethan Evenson, Eliana Green, Hailey Twardy, Carly Twardy, Beau Twardy, Marissa Twardy, Kaylie Twardy and Trevin Twardy.
He was preceded in death by his wife Marlys; parents Andrew and Wanda; son George Jr.; and grandchildren Lance Abell, Adam Twardy and Ashley Twardy.
