Born on January 3, 1933, in Everman, Texas, he was a beloved son of George O. Vaughn, Sr. and Lillie Ruth Cox. George's upbringing in Justin, Texas, laid the foundation for a life rich in family values and community ties. For over thirty years, George shared many unforgettable moments at deer hunting camps with his sons and friends, exploring the outdoors while forging memories that would last a lifetime. His deep love for racing saw him and his family attend numerous Sprint Car and NASCAR races, reveling in the thrill and camaraderie of the sport.
