George Becker "G.B." Vogel

George Becker "G.B." Vogel, age 99, of Corydon, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at Breckinridge Place Retirement Center in Morganfield. Born September 23, 1926, in Henderson to Henry and Alzina Vogel, George lived a long, full, and faith centered life. A devoted Catholic, he was a long time member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Waverly, where his quiet strength and steady presence were deeply felt. A proud veteran, George served his country in the United States Air Force. After his service, he dedicated 42 years of hard work and craftsmanship to Period Tables, where he was respected for his reliability, skill, and unwavering work ethic. George found joy in the simple pleasures that made life rich. He loved playing golf, traveling, and sharing time with the people he cherished most. His family was the heart of his world, and he never missed an opportunity to be present with them-whether gathered around a table, celebrating milestones, or simply enjoying each other's company. He will be remembered for his gentle spirit, his devotion to faith and family, and the warmth he brought into every room.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 70 years, Regina Vogel in 2019; 2 sisters Anita Burris and Phyllis Gomez.

Funeral service will be 11 AM Friday, January 23, 2026 at St. Peter's catholic Church in Waverly, KY. Fr. Dave Johnson will officiate.

Visitation will be 9 AM until service time Friday at the church.

Burial will be in St. Louis Cemetery in Henderson, KY.
