George H. Weaver, age 90, of Tionesta, PA, formerly of Shaler, PA, died on Friday afternoon, January 6, 2023, at UPMC Northwest in Seneca, PA. He was born September 27, 1932 in Pittsburgh, PA, son of the late Charles E. and Bertha A. (Schmidt) Weaver.
George served as a Corporal in the U.S. Army during the Korean War from February 19, 1953 to February 17, 1955. On July 3, 1953 in Coraopolis, PA, he married Donna M. (Seybert) Weaver, who survives. George was a self-employed homebuilder for many years under the name of Weaver Fine Homes. He was a member of Glenshaw Lodge #793 F.&A.M. in Glenshaw, PA, and the Syria A.A.O.N.M.S. (Syria Shriners) in Pittsburgh. Methodist by faith, he was a former member of the Epworth United Methodist Church in Allison Park, PA.
In addition to his wife, Donna, he is survived by his son, Timothy S. Weaver and his wife Linda of Windber, PA. Two granddaughters: Erica Lynn Weaver of Charleston, SC and Lauren Ann Weaver of Dallas, TX. Several nephews also survive.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles and Richard Weaver, and his sister, Lois Miller.
There will be no public visitation. All services held will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of the Norman J. Wimer Funeral Home of Tionesta. Memorial contributions may be made to the Tionesta Ambulance Service, P.O. Box 157, Tionesta, PA 16353.
