George O. White, 70, of Milan, NY passed away Saturday, March 28, 2026 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie.
Born on January 3, 1956 in Sharon, CT he was the son of George White and Alice Wendover White (VanEchaute). He grew up in Milan and attended the Pine Plains Central School District.
George was retired but still enjoyed working part time as a driver for FabTech in Kingston. Before that he spent many years working at STAMP Inc in Rhinebeck.
George, known as "Bub" to his family and close friends was loved by everyone he came in contact with. His friendly nature and attitude made him a joy to be around. He was a simple "flannel shirt and ball cap" kind of guy. He enjoyed fishing, going to yard sales and driving his truck, but he enjoyed family most of all!
George is survived by his brother Peter White (Brenda) of Milan, his sister Mary Ellen White of Milan, his sister Wendy Stoner (Brian) of Stanfordville, step father Julius VanEchaute of Vermont as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and two grand nieces. He was predeceased by his father, mother and several aunts and uncles.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, April 3, 2026 at the Milan Town Hall, 20 Wilcox Circle, Milan, New York at 1:00pm.
