George "Mike" Michael Williams, born in Salinas, California, on September 28, 1944, peacefully passed away on January 1, 2025. He was surrounded by the love of his family, who will carry his memory forward with deep affection.
Mike is survived by his cherished daughters, Pamela (Mike), Michelle (Chip), and Susan (Kirk), as well as his beloved grandchildren, Taylor (John), Colton, Brandyn (Kristan), Tyler, Jacob, Samantha, Zak, Adam, and Johnny. He is also lovingly remembered by his great-grandchildren, sister, nieces, and nephews.
Throughout his life, Mike found joy in both the simple and the grand moments. He lived in Oregon for a time before returning to Santa Cruz, California-his heart's true home. There, he created countless lasting memories with family and friends, many of which included long rides on his Harley Davidson, drives along West Cliff, road trips, salmon fishing, and playing card games, especially cribbage.
A fan of the 49ers and a love for coffee and baking, Mike was most known for his incredible sense of humor. A quick-witted storyteller, he had a one-liner ready for any occasion and could always be counted on to brighten any room with a joke. His humor was matched only by his compassion and kindness. Mike had a big heart-always giving, always caring-and his warmth touched everyone around him.
More than anything, Mike loved his family. He treasured every moment with his children and grandchildren, and family meant the world to him. His presence will be deeply missed, but the joy and laughter he brought will never fade.
A private celebration of life will be held with immediate family to honor his memory. Mike will remain forever in our hearts.
