George Wright, age 85, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2026. He was born on January 27, 1941.

George was a skilled carpenter and a longtime member of Local 22, known for his craftsmanship and strong work ethic. He also used his talents to help his family with construction and home projects whenever needed.

For many years, George was an avid bowler and loved playing cards and cribbage with his family, especially during holidays, when laughter and togetherness filled the room.

A long-time resident of East Boston, George spent the later years of his life in Revere, Massachusetts.

He shared 63 years of marriage with his wife, Dolores Wright, whom he married on September 23, 1962.

George is survived by his son, George Wright Jr. of Revere, MA, and his wife Janice, and his daughter, Dineen Murray of Middleton, MA, and her husband Hank. He was a very proud and loving grandfather, finding his greatest joy in his granddaughters-Jordyn Fields and her husband Ryan, Tayla Murray, and Kendra Trainor-and his cherished great-granddaughter, Alessia Fields.

He is also survived by his sister, Caryll Pichetti, and her husband Joe, as well as many nieces and nephews.

George was predeceased by his brother, John Wright Jr., and his parents, Ethel and John Wright.

George will be remembered for his gentle strength, generous heart, and deep devotion to his family. He leaves behind a legacy of love, tradition, and presence-one that will continue to be felt in every gathering, every story, and every hand dealt at the table.

Funeral services and entombment for George will be held privately.
