Georgetta Bonds, 93, of Charlotte Hall, MD, passed away on August 13, 2025. On March 8, 1932, Georgetta was born in Fort Worth, TX, to the late Johnny Lee and Iva Beadle.

For over 25 years, Georgetta worked as a pastoral assistant for Bethlehem Baptist Church and Temple Baptist Church in Virginia. Her dedication and compassion left an indelible mark on the congregation and the wider community. Known for her warm smile and kind heart, she was always ready to lend a listening ear or offer a comforting word.

Georgetta married the love of her life, Dr. John Bonds, and the two were blessed with two sons, Michael Bonds of Charlotte Hall, MD, and Daniel Bonds, who predeceased his mother. Georgetta had two passions in life, her Savior Jesus Christ and her family. Whether in the doctor's waiting room, a checkout line at the grocery store or wherever she was, she always told the person next to her about Jesus. She never failed to help out a family member who needed assistance.

Georgetta was predeceased by her beloved husband, son Dan, brother Garvin Beadle, and sister Juanell Wiggins. She is survived by her son Michael, sisters Jo Scivally and Carole Hill of Bedford, TX, and grandchildren John Bonds of Charleston, SC and his daughter Addy, and Jynette Bonds of Nashville, TN and her son Wylder.

Interment will take place at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery.
