Georgia Buda of Punta Gorda, FL passed away on August 16, 2025 at Fawcett Memorial Hospital, leaving a legacy of love, family, many friends, and service to others. She was 81.

Born in Carbondale, PA, she was raised and lived in Liverpool, NY for much of her early life. It was there that she met Tony, her husband of 62 years, and raised her son Anthony (Melissa), and her daughter, Dawn. Also surviving are her grandson, Brandon, of Liverpool, NY, and siblings Cindy Branch (Todd) of N. Syracuse, NY, and Gino Caiello (Peggy) of Rochester, NY, along with numerous beloved nieces and nephews.

Georgia worked many years as a sales representative for Verizon, after which she became a Democratic Liaison for former New York U.S. Senator Hillary R. Clinton.

Upon retirement, Georgia and Tony moved to Florida where she became a volunteer and devoted her life to assisting others. Georgia was a social butterfly, with numerous friends who loved her, and she loved them back. Her primary purpose was helping others. She served on the Punta Gorda Library Board, the Vivante Condominium Board of Directors, and a decade as Chair of the Vivante Condominium Social Committee, an important position which socially united the owners of all 342 condo units. Georgia was also a devoted member of the Punta Gorda Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Final arrangements for immediate family were held at Life Celebration Center of Punta Gorda. A Vivante Celebration of Life for Georgia's many friends, family, and acquaintances will be held at Vivante Condominiums, to be scheduled in the fall.
