Batavia - JoAnne Buda, 84 of Batavia passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at her home in Batavia.

JoAnne was born March 28th, 1941 in Rochester, a daughter of the late Albert & Melba (Wade) Pugh.

She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, baking and attending garage sales looking for the best deals. Her greatest love was cooking for her family and spending time with them. Time spent on vacation at the family cottage in the Thousand Islands all summer with her grandchildren and going out boating were some of her favorites.

Surviving are her children, Michael (Lauri) Buda and Laurie A. Branigan; grandchildren, Ryan Stein, Stacie (Charissa DuPont) Stein, Heather Branigan, Lee (Alyssa) Buda and Chris (Jennifer) Buda; great-grandchildren, Lily, Arlo and Lindsey Stein, Avery and Aubrey Buda; and her sister Linda (Tom) Bond.

Along with her parents JoAnne is reunited in death with her loving husband Ronald J Buda and her daughter Suzanne Stein.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of H.E. Turner and Co., Inc. Funeral Home, Batavia. A celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family. JoAnne will be laid to rest next to her husband in Mt. Rest Cemetery, Bergen.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Heart Association, PO Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284.
