Jane E. Ezard, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 8th, 2025. Born on October 31st, 1939, in Batavia, Jane lived a life full of love, service, and dedication to her family and community.

Jane was the cherished daughter of the late Bud and Grace Fonda. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward J. Ezard Sr., who passed away on November 6, 1989, and her siblings Joan Heatherman and Gilbert Fonda.

She is survived by her children, Edward J. (late Amy) Ezard, Jr. of Byron, Ronald (Lara) Ezard of Byron, and Linda (Paul) Eaton of Elba. Jane also leaves behind a legacy of seven grandchildren: Jennifer (Brian) Zicaro of Syracuse, Justin (Sarah) Eaton of Tennessee, Heather (Matt) Esten of Elba, Jamie (Patrick) Eaton of Pavilion, Ben Ezard of Buffalo, Elizabeth (Caleb) Ezard of LeRoy, and Bethany Ezard of Syracuse, along with seven great-grandchildren: Bryce, Brayden, Jonathan, Audri, Ava, Alex, and Avery. She is survived by her brother, Donald (late Judy) Fonda of Batavia, and her brother-in-law, Joseph Heatherman of California, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Jane dedicated many years of her professional life as a Medical Secretary, working with Dr. Conrad J. Kubiniec, DDS, in Batavia, New York, and previously for Dr. Daniel Keefe. Beyond her career, Jane was a longtime member and former Deacon of the Byron Presbyterian Church, where she was actively involved in various church activities, including working at church dinners. Her hobbies included knitting and reading, and she found great joy in spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Her family will hold private services at their convenience, and Jane will be laid to rest in Byron Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in Jane's memory be made to the Byron Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 206, Byron, NY 14422, or the Byron Rescue Squad, P.O.
