A tribute to one of the kindest, most loving people, one who I had the honor of calling my aunt...

From the moment I took my first breath, there was never a moment´s doubt how much my Aunt Georgia loved me and oh, how I adored her as well. When I think back on my life, there are so many warm and wonderful memories I have of her...waiting for her with my mom at the Dover train station for her to get off the train for a visit, teaching me how to spell orange and Georgia to a beat (after spelling it wrong on one too many drawings I made for her, lol!), visits in Florida, making birthdays special, so many memories. And always, for my whole life, calling me `My Angel´... every card, birthday song, phone call, always `My Angel.´

Like Aunt Georgia, I don´t have children of my own but I have a niece and a nephew who I adore. As I look back on the kind of aunt I have been to them over their lives so far...making gifts special, always engaging with them in games and activities, often being found at the `kids´ table, creating memories and showing them love and attention...I realize I have followed the model of being an aunt that Aunt Georgia set for me.

Gosh, how lucky I was to have such a loving, kind hearted woman in my life and I will miss her tremendously. My whole life she called me her angel and now she´ll be mine.

Georgia was able to bring warmth and calmness into the most stressful work days. Ten trees have been planted in loving memory of Georgia, reflecting her spirit of peace and comfort. May all of Georgia´s friends and family also find peace and comfort in their memories, and accept my deepest sympathies for their loss. God Bless.

So sad to hear. So many memories of my early childhood I can recall were at Jimmy and Georgia's house.

Even though the last five years was not either of our choices, there was never a Sunday that went by, and I didn´t wish that we were watching movies together! Weather at your house or mine, or at the Regal, or Movies at Wellington 8. There wasn´t a year that we missed a weekend together even though the last five years we were apart I never miss your birthday always leaving you a voicemail not knowing if you´ll get them. I love you so much and I wish we would´ve been able to see each other one last time before this. Rest in peace. Tell Jimmy I said hi and I love and miss you both

Georgia was one of the kindest most gentle ladies at Concordia. She always had a smile for you. When a new resident would arrive at Concordia, Georgia would make sure they were not alone and would take them by the hand and walk with them to and from the different activities. She loved music and knew the words to most all the oldies. It was a joy to see her so happy enjoying the music. She will be missed but always remembered.
