Georgia Maxine Godwin Robbins, 99, of Bellville, Texas, and originally of Andalusia, Alabama, passed from this life on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at her home in Texas.
Georgia Maxine Godwin Robbins was born in 1926 to George and Mayme Godwin in Andalusia, Alabama. In 1942, at the start of World War II, her family moved to Mobile for her father's work. After the war, they returned to River Falls. In 1949, Maxine moved back to Mobile for a brief time before she and her husband, Kyle M. Robbins, began traveling the country and living in several different states. In 2007, they chose to settle in Bellville, Texas.
Maxine was devoted to her family-both near and distant-and although she and Kyle called many places home over the years, Andalusia and River Falls always held a special place in her heart.
Maxine is survived by her children, Kyle Robbins of Bellville, TX; Brenda Robbins of Bellville, TX; and Cynthia (George) Cruz of San Antonio, TX; her grandchildren, Nichol (John) Fullen and Zachary Cruz; and her great-grandchildren, Avery, William, and Emma Fullen. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Mayme Godwin; her husband, Kyle M. Robbins; and her sister, Gene Steele.
Mrs. Robbins will be laid to rest on Saturday, November 22, at Andalusia Memorial Cemetery. Graveside services will begin at 11 a.m. with Father Eric Mancil officiating and Foreman Funeral Home directing. The family will visit with friends one hour prior to the service at Foreman Funeral Home.
