Georgia Carol Hudson St. Clair departed this life on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at the age of 84. She was cherished as a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Born on May 25, 1941, in Greenville, Texas, Georgia grew up in both Greenville and Irving, graduating from Irving High School and receiving her Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctorate from Dallas Baptist University.
Throughout her career, Georgia’s devotion to the development and well-being of children showcased her nurturing spirit and passion of guiding young minds. She owned and managed her own childcare facility for many years; then later became a counselor for Dallas Independent School District counseling young, underprivileged children for over 20 years.
A woman of many talents and interests, Georgia was known for her vibrant personality and infectious laughter. Her deep love for animals was evident in the many dogs and birds that she welcomed into her home, teaching them playful tricks that brought joy to all who witnessed their antics. Georgia also embraced her creative side through art and music with painting and playing the piano. At the age of 60, Georgia, once again demonstrating her endless thirst for knowledge, obtained fluency in reading and writing Hebrew.
Georgia's unwavering Christian faith was the foundation of her life, as she actively encouraged her children to attend church weekly and served as a dedicated Sunday School teacher. Her family and community were a testament to her boundless compassion and the values she instilled.
Above all, Georgia cherished her role as a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, taking immense pride in her children, Wendy Ward Roberts, Brett Ward (Kristee) and Kirsten Ward Harrison; her grandchildren, Nick Ward (Lisa), Madison Roberts, Jett Roberts (Taelor), Gabriella Harrison and Makayla Hurley; her great-grandchildren, Hudson Miller, Presley Roberts and Cash Roberts. Georgia’s selflessness and dedication to her family were evident in all she did and in all her interactions, making her a beloved figure to those who knew her. She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank "Nick" St. Clair; her daughter, Cheryl Ward; her parents, George Leo Hudson and Johnnie Bell Bryan.
Georgia will be remembered not only for her vibrant spirit and loving presence but also for the legacy of love she leaves behind. Her contributions to her family, friends, and community will forever be honored and cherished.
A graveside service to celebrate her life will be held on January 14, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery, located at 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas, 75211. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked donations to be made in her memory to the Alzheimer's Association.
While she may no longer be with us in body, Georgia’s spirit will continue to illuminate the lives of those she touched, as she will surely be a guiding light in the hearts of her family and friends for generations to come.
