Georgia Summers Obituary
Born and raised in Winfield, WV Georgia lived a life marked by love, devotion, and strength. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 64 years, C. Harold Summers; her parents: Mervin and Marie Terry; and her brothers: Albert Terry and Bernard Terry.
Georgia's legacy lives on through her devoted daughters: Penny Fisher and husband, Jon of Point Pleasant, WV, Peggy Summers of Winfield, WV, and Beth Pitzer and husband, Doug of Winfield, WV. She was a proud "Memaw" to: Jonathan Fisher and wife, Nora of Winfield, WV, Jarrod Summers and wife, Rebecca of Winfield, WV and Melinda Bickel and husband, Tyler of Burlington, IA.
Her greatest joy came from her great-grandchildren: Eli, Edward, Kimberly, Toby, Cora, Holden, Hatie, and Caspian- who brought light and laughter into her days and will carry her memory forward with love.
She is also survived by her remaining brother and sisters: Keith Terry of Roanoke, VA, Wayne Terry of Jamesville, NC, Geneva Wesley of La Plata, MD, Elizabeth Ann Hardison of Jamesville, NC, Lynn Craig of Winfield, WV, and Greg Terry of Winfield, WV. Also, affectionately known as "Aunt Georgie" to a host of nieces and nephews which she adored.
Known for hosting large gatherings at her house, she was never happier than when everyone could come together under one roof. She knew no strangers and was quick to invite you into her home to sit at the kitchen table for coffee and good conversation.
A member of Redhouse Bible Church, Georgia was a devoted Christian and we rejoice in knowing that she is now walking the streets of gold beside our savior Jesus Christ and has been reunited with those loved ones that have ascended into heaven before her.
Georgia will be remembered for her unwavering kindness, her spirit, and the deep love she had for her family. Her presence was a source of comfort and strength, and her memory will be cherished by all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made in her name to: Redhouse Bible Church PO Box 68 Red House, WV 25168.

Georgia's Funeral Service will be 1:00pm Friday September 5, 2025 at Chapman Funeral Home Winfield, WV with Pastor Greg Blake officiating. Burial will follow in Bowcott Cemetery Pliny, WV.
Friends may visit the family from 11:00am until service time at the funeral home.
