Georgianna R. Peavy, age 74, passed away on Friday, April 25, 2025, at her home in Aberdeen, NC after a long illness.
Born on July 20, 1950, in Syracuse, New York, to the late George and Arlene Henry of North Syracuse, NY.
Lovingly nicknamed "Georgia" in New York and "Georgie" in North Carolina, she worked as an assistant manager for a clothing store but was a waitress at heart. She loved serving others and talking with anyone and everyone. She was predeceased by her husband, Larry W. Peavy, her son Russell J. Harrington and her brother William G. Henry.
She is survived by her sister, Gail Edwards, her brother-in-law Sam Nueschwander in Manie and her pride and joy her granddaughters Madi and Chole Harrington in Texas and several cousins and three stepdaughters.
Per Georgia's wishes there will be no services. If you wish to make a donation to your local animal shelter or animal charities in her name that would be appreciated as was her love for animals.
Georgia's care was entrusted to Powell Funeral Home in Aberdeen, North Carolina.
