Georgianna Smith, 74, of Spring Hill, Tennessee, passed away peacefully, after an extended illness, on July 19, 2025, with her children by her side. She was the oldest daughter, and the third of six children, born to parents, George Rolfsen, Jr. and Sylvia (Zins) Rolfsen.
Ann grew up in Beech Grove, Indiana, where she attended Holy Name Catholic School and Beech Grove High School. After graduating in 1970, she worked as an EKG technician at St. Francis Hospital in Beech Grove. Ann met and married the love of her life, Jim Smith on April 17, 1971, and started a family two years later. Ann became a homemaker and stay at home mom, as Jim’s career took their family to the cities of Tampa, FL (1983), Chattanooga, TN (1983-1993), Memphis, TN (1993-2017). Ann took great pride in maintaining a spotless home and providing home cooked meals every night with dessert. Ann enjoyed baking, especially at Christmas time with her daughter and grandchildren. Ann and Jim enjoyed traveling, and their destinations included Hawaii, the Carribean, and many places in between. They were Disney Vacation Club Members and generously treated their kids and grandkids to frequent trips to Disney World. After retirement they moved to Mt. Juliet, TN where they enjoyed new friendships with neighbors in their Dell Webb community.

Ann is survived by her husband of 54 years, Jim, children, Amy Toole (Lee) of Tupelo, MS, Christopher Smith (Angie) of Spring Hill, TN, sisters, Nancy Pflanzer (Randy), Laura Morris (Michael), brothers, Timothy Rolfsen (Kelly), Steven Rolfsen (Susan), grandchildren, Madeleine Toole, Robert “Trip” Toole, MaryGrace Toole, Erika Smith, Megan Smith, Samuel Smith and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Ann will be from 10:00am-11:00am on Friday, July 25, 2025, at Holy Name of Jesus Church–89 N. 17th Ave., Beech Grove, IN 46107, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00am. A committal service will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in her name may be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation.
