Georgie "George" Richard Elmer, aged 61, passed away unexpectedly on February 4, 2025. George was born on September 26, 1963 to Ellie (Day) and Sam Elmer.
George was loved so much, especially by his two daughters: Megan and Caitlin. He was also so proud to be a grandpa.
His daughter Megan shares:
"My dad was the guy you could always call for anything and he would help you always. He loved fishing, camping, and riding motorcycles. He could fix anything or at least rig it to work forever. He loved his grandchildren more than anything and seeing their eyes light up when he would come over to see them was one of the best things I have ever seen. He was the type of guy that would come and move my dead dog for me because I was afraid to touch him. His laugh was all that I lived to hear and he always laughed at my jokes. I could always count on him to laugh at the crazy things that would happen with his grandchildren and in our life. My favorite thing to do was show him a funny movie, just to hear him laugh."
His daughter Caitlin shares:
"My dad was my best friend. He's been there to help me get through some of the hardest times in my life. He taught me everything I know. No matter what, he always had my back. He is the strongest and bravest, but also the kindest and sweetest man you'd ever know! No matter how hard he tried, he could never tell me 'no' because I was his little runt!"
George is survived by Geraldine "Gerri" Elmer, Sammy Elmer, daughters Megan (Eric) Carlson and Caitlin Elmer; wife Patricia Elmer; and grandchildren Avan & Axton Carlson.
A viewing will be held for George on Saturday, February 15, 2025 from 4:00pm - 7:00pm at Affordable Funerals & Cremations-Salt Lake.
He is so very missed.
