Robert Carlyle Baker passed away on July 30 2025, peacefully in his home at the age of 84.
Robert was born on March 10, 1941 to Dan Carlyle Baker & Claire Moss Baker in Salt Lake City, Utah. He married Sherlene Allen on November 25, 1959 in Salt Lake City, Utah. They were married for 65 years.
He loved music & played the tuba and trombone. He & Sherlene met singing in the Stake Choir. He was a manager at Dee's Drive in for 20 years. He was the Scout Master for 20 years. He was on the Activity Committee for 12 plus years. Every 4th of July he would help cook breakfast for everyone. Also, on Ward Campouts, he was always making breakfast. When ever he went on vacation, he loved taking pictures. He loved taking care of his yard & his wonderful garden. Wherever possible, he & his brother would play chess. He will be truly missed by friends and family.
He is survived by his children Cathy Baker, Brad Baker & Amy Baker & his 13 grandchildren & 21 great grandchildren.
Services for Robert will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2025 located at 2695 East 7000 South, Cottonwood Heights, Utah 84121.
There will be a viewing from 10:00am-10:45am with the funeral services to follow at 11:00am.
Robert will be laid to rest with his sweetheart, Sherlene, in the Memorial Mountain View Cemetery after the services.
