Dennis Lee Randell

Forever in Our Hearts
Dennis Lee Randell passed away peacefully on August 31, 2025, at the age of 79. He was born on February 26, 1946, in Huntington Park, California, to Woodrow Duane Randell and Wanda Hope (Clark) Randell. Dennis was the second of their four children.
In January of 1954, the family moved to Fullerton, California, where Dennis spent much of his youth. From a young age, he was athletic and competitive, excelling especially in softball and boxing. As a third baseman, he played softball for many years and hit countless home runs. He also developed a lifelong passion for cars, becoming highly skilled in mechanics, repair, and restoration. Known as a great "picker," Dennis had a remarkable talent for finding value in things others had overlooked or discarded.
In the late 1960s, Dennis proudly served his country in the United States Army. Afterward, he pursued his interest in electronics, studying at Fullerton Junior College before working for Aztec Electronics and Hughes Aircraft.
Dennis's greatest joy in life was his family. He was the proud father of five children: Scott, Rebecca, Kevin, Jared, and Ryan. In 1978, he moved with his children to Roseburg, Oregon, where he built a career as a transmission specialist for AAMCO. He faithfully served the Roseburg community until his retirement.
In October 1987, Dennis met the love of his life, Gayle Faye, at a church singles dance. They were married in May 1988 and recently celebrated 37 wonderful years together. Through their marriage, Dennis embraced two additional children, Aubree and Ryan, who completed their blended family.
Family was at the center of Dennis's life. For many years, he cherished road trips that took him and his children from Utah through California and Oregon, creating countless lasting memories. He loved fishing, hunting, riding motorcycles, and sharing family home evenings filled with faith, activities, and laughter.
A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Dennis served in many callings and was sealed to his wife and children for eternity. He was a strong and steady provider for his family, his church, and his community. His life was defined by service, faith, and love.
Dennis now reunites in heaven with his parents, his sons Scott and Jared, his brother Gary James Randell, and many beloved friends and family who have gone before him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Gayle Faye; his sisters, Sharon LaBurn and Sandra (Bill) Gray; his children, Rebecca (Jeremy) Ortega, Kevin Randell, Ryan (Brittany) Randell, Aubree (Andrew) Blau, and Ryan Orrock; as well as more than 22 grandchildren and great-grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will carry his memory forward.
Dennis's life was one of hard work, devotion, and faith. He leaves behind a legacy of love and strength that will continue to bless generations to come.
The family of Dennis Lee Randell wishes to express their deepest gratitude for the many acts of kindness, love, and support shown during this time of loss. Your prayers, visits, and expressions of sympathy are greatly appreciated.
