Georgine Kaier Favazza Jeziorowski passed away peacefully on December 5, 2025 from a brain tumor which was discovered in mid June.
My wife, Georgine, lived her life for the benefit of her children and her grandchildren. She was the most encouraging and loving person I have ever known. She was a selfless individual who placed the interests of others before her own. Her abundant love for her family was genuine and free flowing. Her accomplishments were many. With her loving husband, Leo Favazza, who proceeded her in death, she excelled in raising six wonderful and beautiful children; Leo Favazza, John (Jamie) Favazza, Marie (Bob) Cavanaugh, Rich (Bridget) Favazza, George (Sue) Favazza, Jen (Josh) Butler, and my son Rob Jeziorowski, from a previous marriage. They are fondly known as the "Magnificent Seven". They, in turn, are raising their children; Heather (Josiah) McKane, Autumn (Tre) Hill, Jessica (Josh) Brooks, Zachary (Selecia) Favazza, Joseph (Lily) Favazza, Isaac Butler, Holden Butler, and Violet Butler, in the same loving way. She was also an adoring great-grandmother to many great-grandchildren with whom she shared many cherished memories with. Georgine, also known as "Genie" was an astounding, imaginative, and appealing clown who brought joy and laughter to all those she had the privilege to encounter. She was always well received and highly sought after.
Genie NEVER had a bad thing to say about anyone. She berated no one. She was a friend to everyone. There isn't anyone who has ever met her that did not like her. Her words that she used to communicate with others were ALWAYS words of encouragement- not any that would put anyone down or make them feel bad about themselves. She was well liked and admired by those who knew her. The world is a little worse off and saddened because she is not here. People have said when Elvis died that there would never be another like him- and the same can be said of Genie. There will never be anyone else like her. She had amazing qualities. She was far-sighted, she was exceptional. Genie took college courses at Schoolcraft College and make the Dean's List, although she did not graduate. I have a college degree but she was the smart one. Genie was a financial wizard and often stated that paying the bills was her "play time".
My wife was limitless in what she would do for others to make them feel welcome and wanted. She nourished her family and friends with love- and plenty of it. That's what filled her soul and her heart. Genie oozed love and those who were around her received the benefits from that. She was radiant- a beacon of light for those who were lost and could not find their way in life. Someone just meeting Genie was very aware that she is the "real deal" and not fake or phony- she was grounded and accepting of others. She was most assuredly "authentic". She loved God and her church and was, indeed, one with her Spirit. She treasured her time alone with God and was consistently reading scripture. She was secured in her life and her world. She was a peaceful person. Nothing really got to her except people treating other people badly. She was easy going and light-hearted. If you wanted to see her beaming, just send over her children and grandchildren. This lady is unforgettable because there is no one quite like her that I have ever noticed. If there is a Mother's Hall of Fame, she needs to be in it. She was quite attractive and deeply rooted in her faith, family, and her freedoms. She is strongly inspiring, compassionate, and feisty for those who were struggling in any way and welcoming to those that some people deem "garbage". She is blessed, brilliant, insightful, assertive, protective-and timeless. I am exceptionally proud to have had the privilege of having Genie for 25 glorious years as my beloved wife. I am blessed beyond measure.
