Gerald Wayne Bagwell

Mr. Gerald Wayne Bagwell, age 78, of Chatsworth, passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at AdventHealth Gordon.

Gerald attended Free Hope Baptist Church, and was a member of the Chatsworth Masonic Lodge # 664.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Irene Bagwell; sister, Helen Adams; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bobby and Opal Pierce.

Survivors include his loving wife of 47 years, Barbara Jean Bagwell of Chatsworth; daughter and son-in-law, Monica and Michael Gillespie of Athens, GA; sister, Sharon Adams of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Ben Gillespie of Savannah, GA and Emily Gillespie of Atlanta, GA; nieces and nephews, Christie and Randy Patterson of Adairsville, GA, Lorene Cox of Crandall, GA, and Tony and Karen Cox of Chatsworth; extended family also survives.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mr. Gerald Wayne Bagwell will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Minister Rob Berghorst officiating. Interment will follow at Murray Memorial Gardens.

Masonic Rites will be provided by the Chatsworth Masonic Lodge # 664.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, February 12, 2026, from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
