Gladys Faye Pitts

Mrs. Gladys Pitts, age 75 of Dalton, Georgia departed this life Monday, February 9, 2026 at Murray Woods in Chatsworth, Georgia. She was born January 7, 1951 in Sweetwater, Tennessee, a daughter of the late Elmer Ray and Mattie Sue Morgan Woodby. She was also preceded in death by her husband George Pitts, son Ronnie Burris, brother Arthur Woodby, sisters Madeline Frank, Eva Sue Bowers, Rhae Woodby.

She is survived by her daughter, Debra Tancrede and Rodney Downs of Dalton, GA; daughter-in-law, Kristin Burris of Dalton, GA; brother, Bill Woodby of Madisonville, TN; sisters, Mae Green of Riceville, TN, Louise Thompson, Rosie Hicks of Sweetwater, TN; special friends, Donna Mulkey, Cindy Welch of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Amanda and Anthony Tyler, Kylynn Henderson, Nick Henderson; great grandchildren, Adrianna, Draven, Taliya, Tessa and D.J.; great great grandchildren, Ember, Greyslen; nieces and nephews.

At her request she will be cremated and services will be held at a later date.
