Gerald Joseph Baker

Gerald Joseph Baker, 62, of Lakeside, AZ passed away on December 28, 2025 at Wheeling Hospital in Wheeling, WV. He was born on February 4, 1963, son of parents the late Ronald Baker of Wheeling and Karen Browne of Peoria, AZ. He is survived by his wife Jenise Marie (Allen) Wilkes-Baker, two stepchildren Kyle Wilkes of Lakeside, and Zachary Wilkes of Silicon Valley, CA. He has two daughters Kristen and Brooke Baker of California, Two brothers Charles (Kelly) Baker of St. Clairsville Ohio, and Donald "Don" Baker of Plains, Kansas.

Gerald (Jerry) was a U.S. Navy diver for 14 years and a was a retired California Corrections officer, He was a body builder and was dedicated to health and fitness. He loved the outdoors.

We celebrate his love for life, all his experiences, the places he traveled around the world, and that he lived his life to the fullest.

We honor him for his love for his family, for his children, his parents and brothers, and for all his good friends.

We salute his love of country with his service in the United States Navy and his work for the state of California.

We mourn for his suffering and the fierce fight with cancer that he fought so hard and lost, never giving up over this last year.

We pray that he is now at peace and is with our Lord in Heaven.
