Gerald J. Benedetto

Suddenly, on November 12, 2025. Survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Jean, his two children, Kimberly and Joseph (Ashley), and brothers, Stephen (Quyen) and Joseph (Ann). Predeceased by his mother, Georgiana, and father, Joseph.

Jerry was a proud graduate of West Irondequoit High School and Baldwin Wallace University. He served our country in The Army National Guard. Jerry was a budget and finance coordinator at Eastman Kodak where he worked for 27 years. He later enjoyed his time as a school of driving instructor and school bus driver for the Pittsford Central School District.

Jerry was an accomplished golfer, bowler, and all-around athlete. He achieved 5 hole-in-ones and coached a championship CYO basketball team. Jerry was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone and volunteered his time to benefit his residential communities. He made an impression on every person he met with his resonant voice, animated gestures, and dynamic energy. Jerry had a lasting impact on those who were fortunate to be touched by his warm and empathetic nature.

Family and friends are invited to attend Jerry’s wake on Tuesday, November 18th from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at New Comer Funeral Home, located at 2636 Ridgeway Ave, Rochester, NY 14626. 
Family and friends are also welcome to attend a Funeral Mass on Wednesday, November 19th at 10:00am at St. Theodore’s R.C. Church, located at 168 Spencerport Rd, Rochester, NY 14606, to be immediately followed by burial proceedings at White Haven Memorial Park at 210 Marsh Rd, Pittsford, NY 14534.
