Jerry, age 94, of Wisconsin Rapids, WI passed away peacefully on Wednesday November 5.
Jerry was born in Madison, moved to Wisconsin Rapids and graduated from Lincoln HS. He proudly served in the US Army during the Korean War. He went on to earn his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Jerry met his wife Suzanne White in Madison-they were married in 1957. His management career took them to Milwaukee, Wausau, Sandwich IL, Upland CA and Dayton OH. Unfortunately, Suzanne passed away in 1975.
Jerry concluded his career in California and was a successful importer of skateboards and inline skates. After retirement Jerry moved back to Wisconsin Rapids. He was an avid golfer and a longtime member of Bulls Eye Country Club. Jerry also enjoyed skiing with his sons in Steamboat Springs Colorado and time spent off the slopes enjoying a good book.
Jerry was fortunate to meet Margaret Thomson from Auckland, New Zealand in 1997. He became a part time New Zealand resident and enjoyed over 20 years with Margaret–traveling to many other destinations throughout the world. Margaret passed away in 2017.
Jerry is survived by his two sons, spouses and grandchildren; William and Anita Boyce from Alpharetta GA, and their sons Tucker and Samuel, David and Amy Boyce from Portland Maine and their children Nate (McKenzie) and Haley (Erich), Cousin Larry Schneckloth (Janet) from Milwaukee, Catherine Boyce from Los Angeles, and ex-wife Chris Allen from Dayton Ohio.
Jerry was proceeded in death by his parents, Ira and Catherine Boyce, son Tom Boyce and brother Bill Boyce.
A Celebration of Life will take place at Bulls Eye CC summer 2026. In lieu of flowers, donations to the McMillan Library (Wisconsin Rapids), Edgewater Haven (Port Edwards) and Incourage Community Foundation (Catherine S Boyce Fund) would be welcomed and appreciated by the family.
