Gerald Phillip Caldwell, age 64, passed away Friday, February 20, 2026. Born in Atlanta, Georgia, on August 31, 1961, he was the son of the late Gerald Morris Caldwell and the late Janice Spradlin Caldwell. In addition to his parents, Gerald was preceded in death by his wife, Susan Caldwell.
Gerald worked for years in commercial property management. In his spare time, he enjoyed working in his yard and just "piddling" around. Friday nights were spent watching wrestling and the weekends were for watching NASCAR. Gerald also enjoyed time on the water fishing. His sweet spirit will be missed by all who knew him.
His survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Tammy & Larry Phillips of Carrollton; his step-sons, Matthew Shumake, Mark Shumake, and Justin Shumake; his precious grandchildren, Calvin Phillips and Slade Phillips; and his great-grandchildren, Maverick Phillips and River Phillips. Also surviving are his brother-in-law, Randy (Sabrina) Roper of Fruithurst and extended family and friends.
In keeping with his wishes, Gerald will be cremated.
