Mr. Gerald "Gerry" E. Dintelman of Nashville, IL departed this life at the Washington County Hospital Extended Care in Nashville on Monday, May 9, 2022, at 2:29 P.M. He had attained the age of 83 years, 7 months and 9 days.
Mr. Dintelman was born on September 30, 1938, in Oakdale, IL the son of Carroll and Mary (Higgs) Dintelman. He was united in marriage to Phyllis Frieman on May 10, 1958, in Oakdale, IL and she survives his passing.
Gerry was a lineman for Illinois Power/Ameren for 30 years and he was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Nashville. He was also a member and involved with the Masonic Lodge #55 AF/AM, IBEW #702 of West Frankfort, Okaw Valley Car Club and he was a volunteer fireman for the Nashville Fire Protection District. There was nothing that Gerry could not fix and he loved woodworking, tractor pulling, cars and watching wrestling. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially watching his birds and squirrels.
Left to mourn his passing is his wife Phyllis Dintelman of Nashville, IL; three children, Dee Pedtke and husband Robert, Corey Dintelman and wife Paula and Duane Dintelman and wife Stacey all of Nashville, IL; 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, brother-in-law, Dennis Frieman and wife Joyce of Nashville, IL; a niece and a nephew, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, James Dintelman.
Funeral services will be held at the Campagna Funeral Home in Nashville, IL on Monday, May 16, 2022, at 11 A.M. with Rev. Leanne Noland officiating. Interment will follow in the Masonic Cemetery in Nashville, IL.
Friends may call at the Campagna Funeral Home in Nashville, IL on Monday from 9 A.M. until the service hour.
Should friends desire, memorials can be made to the NCHS Industrial Arts program and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
