Memorial services for GERALD "IKE" EISENBARTH, 85, will be held at a later date. Ike died January 3, 2026, at Davis Hospice Center in Cheyenne, Wyoming and cremation has taken place.

Gerald was born February 20, 1940, in Torrington, Wyoming. He was the son of Carl and Lydia (Deutscher) Eisenbarth. Gerald was the youngest of thirteen siblings where they grew up on the family farm in Yoder, Wyoming. Gerald passed peacefully on January 3, 2026, at the Davis Hospice Center in Cheyenne, Wyoming after a decline in health. Gerald had a positive and uplifting spirit throughout his transition. At 85 years old, Gerald's gentle spirit, kindness, playfulness and his catching smile will be greatly missed. He was the last of his generation in his family to pass.

Gerald graduated from Yoder High School in 1958. He joined the Wyoming National Guard that same year then went to work for the State of Wyoming at Guernsey in 1959. He transferred to Civil Service with the Wyoming Army National Guard in Guernsey in 1964 and worked in the equipment maintenance field. Gerald retired from Civil Service with the Wyoming National Guard in March 1995 after serving 31 years. He retired from the Wyoming National Guard as Chief Warrant Officer CW4 in June 1999 after serving 42 years.

Gerald had two marriages. His first marriage was to Jeanette Ann Backman on February 11, 1960. They had three children together before they divorced on March 13, 1975. Gerald's second marriage was to Carolee (Manning) Baker on April 18, 1980, until she passed on May 19, 2006.

Gerald had a passion for fishing, the outdoors, and loved working with his hands.

Gerald is survived by his children, Connie Peterssen, Dian Johnson, and Douglas Eisenbarth. His grandchildren, Rae Ann (Gary) Anderson, David (Amy) Johnson, Taylor Schrader and Kari Eisenbarth. He also had seven great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and extended family and friends.

Memorial services will be held later in the spring when the birds will be singing under the direction of Colyer Funeral Home in Torrington, Wyoming.
