Parkway Funeral and Cremation Service - BismarckRonald Richard Eisenbarth, 87, passed away on September 3, 2025, in Chisago City, MN.
Born on September 8, 1937, Ronald dedicated his life to farming on the family land south of New Leipzig, ND. He raised grain and, for many years, also tended sheep and quarter horses. His deep connection to the land was matched by his commitment to community and tradition.
A proud member of the Army National Guard, Ron also served as President of the Grant County Fair Board and was a devoted supporter of Grant County 4-H. He was an active participant in the United Methodist Trail Ride and a longtime member of Zoar United Methodist Church south of New Leipzig, ND.
Ron was an avid pheasant hunter and accomplished bowler—he once achieved a perfect 300 game. Bowling was also how he met his wife, Ramona. He greatly enjoyed playing card games and was always ready for a game of Pinochle. In his later years, Ron had a passion for restoring antique tractors and enjoyed competing in tractor pulls. He brought energy and enthusiasm to everything he did. Known for being quick with a joke or a story, he brought warmth and laughter to those around him.
Ron is survived by his wife, Ramona; son, Greg; daughter, Janet (Chris Beckman); son-in-law, Charlie McNemee; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and his five sisters. He was preceded in death by his brother, Gary; daughter, Kathy; and daughter-in-law, Becky.
Ron’s legacy lives on through his family and the many lives he touched across his community. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, September 26, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Pkwy, Bismarck. Burial will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, September 26, at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan.
