Anderson Family Funeral Home & Cremation ServicesMcDaniels, Gerald “Gerry” E. Jr., 71, Ashville, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones. Born June 22, 1954, Pittsburgh, son of the late Gerald E. and Cecelia (Crossman) McDaniels Sr. Gerry is survived by his loving wife, Geane (Bradley) McDaniels of 38 years. Also survived by his children, Timothy (Becky) Sr., Samantha (William), and Emily; grandchildren, Melanie, Sebastian, Timothy Jr., and Zoey; and siblings, Sherril (Martin) Sheehan, Maureen (Ron) Leighty, and Brian (Debbie) McDaniels. Gerry worked as a Master Electrician for many years at Mid-State Electric where he and his family enjoyed many years traveling the country, seeing new places, and making new friends. After he retired, he then became a devoted delivery driver for the Altoona Mirror. He will be remembered by many as a hard worker all throughout his life. Gerry was known for his intelligence, often found doing crossword puzzles, Sudoku, reading, and tinkering with odd jobs around the house. In his spare time, he also loved riding his motorcycle, hunting, and fishing. Most of all, Gerry cherished spending time with his family. Gerry fought a hard battle with cancer, and he is finally at peace. Family and friends will be received Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 2 – 4 p.m., at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made directly to the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Anderson Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 233 Keystone Ave., Cresson, "Honored Provider of Veterans Funeral Care."
