Soisson, Mark T, 90, Mechanicsburg, died Friday, October 17, 2025, at Messiah Lifeways, Mechanicsburg. Born May 26, 1935, in Cresson, he was the son of the late Joseph L. and Regina C. (Sloan) Soisson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joline (Kirby) Soisson, whom he married on September 7, 1957; brothers, Paul and Howard, sister, Ann and son-in-law, Donald Hillman. He is survived by daughters, Karen Christian, Mechanicsburg, PA; Julie Chalk and husband Tom, Frederick, MD; sons, Mike and wife Jenny, Cape St. Claire, MD; and Dave and wife Anna, New Market, MD; grandchildren, Justin Christian and wife Melissa; Michael and wife Heather, all of Arnold, MD; Chris and Danny Soisson, Cape St. Claire, MD; Katie Soisson-McCarren and husband Cole, Annapolis, MD; Maya and Juliette Soisson, New Market, MD; Tommy Chalk, Las Vegas, NV; and Nicholas Chalk, Frederick, MD; great grandchildren, Jordan and Chloe Christian, Michael III, Kinsley and Lucas Soisson, all of Arnold, MD; Camille McCarren, Annapolis, MD; sister, Jeanne Vicini, Kenna, WV; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mark was a graduate of Cresson Joint High School and the Pennsylvania State University where he obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was a Licensed Professional Engineer in the states of Maryland and Pennsylvania. He was employed by the Department of Defense at the Naval Surface Warfare Center in White Oak, Maryland and later at Fort George G. Meade, Maryland from where he retired in 1994 after 32 years of government service. After retirement, he took a part-time position as a consultant with Realty Engineering, Inc. in Bowie, Maryland. He was an avid woodworker in his spare time and enjoyed making wooden toys at Christmas for his grandchildren as well as designing and building clocks. He was a long-time volunteer baseball and basketball coach with the Boys and Girls Club in Laurel Maryland. He was a member of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Mechanicsburg. Friends will be received Tuesday, October 21, 2025, from 4-6 p.m., Anderson Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 233 Keystone Ave., Cresson. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at 11 a.m., St. Francis Xavier Church, Cresson, Rev. Leo Arnone celebrant. Private burial at church cemetery.
